Here are some pictures of the second floor
dance hall also known as "Pike's Hall". Mr. Pike built the Union Hotel
in the early 1800's. Pikes Hall was a favorite gathering place for
locals and visitors alike to enjoy dances, plays, shows and musical
events. The Union Hotel is listed on the National Historic Register. The hall is not currently being used due to safety and access issues. It is the goal of the GWRC Board to bring smiling faces and the sounds of laughter back to this hall as the next phase of preserving this wonderful building. |
